Contecolor – Industrial paint manufacturer: a history of color since 1971
Contecolor, an industrial paint manufacturer with over fifty years of history and expertise in the world of paints and colors
A timeline of Contecolor’s milestones
The passion for color has accompanied Contecolor, an industrial paint producer, since its beginnings. Founded in 1971 as a small local business called “Bottega dei fratelli Conte”, the company initially focused on reselling paints for home projects and for businesses in the auto body sector.
A new chapter began in the early 1990s, driven by the determination of two employees from the original shop who decided to pursue a new path.
Once he acquired the business, Mr. Gianni Sartor, becoming the sole owner, chose to focus on high-performance paints for prestigious sectors, sometimes taking risks to expand the range of advanced products, marking a significant leap in quality.
The excellent results led, in the early 2000s, to the decision to become manufacturers of paints, gaining greater control over product quality and flexibility. Today, 96% of the products sold are produced in-house.
The company continues to grow, offering up-to-date customized products, comprehensive pre- and post-sales support, and tailored colorimetric services, which define Contecolor in 2023.

The ingredient of success
A constant pursuit of tailor-made solutions for customer needs, combined with meticulous data collection to transform insights into results, has allowed Contecolor to establish itself as a leading industrial paint manufacturer, fostering important collaborations across multiple sectors.
Past and future challenges
A company with such longevity has faced many challenges, the most recent being the management of the pandemic crisis. We successfully avoided passing on supply shortages to our clients and minimized market-imposed price increases.
Our ongoing mission has always been to produce and market high-quality customized paints. Looking forward, our goal is to develop products and solutions with an ever-lower environmental impact, prioritizing water-based paints whenever possible.
